At VR Centre we understand the importance of student access to quality VR learning resources. With the exception of our fully immersive VR assessment tools all of our immersive virtual reality components can be accessed via multiple devices. These include mobile phones, iPads, laptops and PC’s as well as various budget and proprietary VR headsets. Ask our service desk to arrange an online demonstration. You don’t need to spend a fortune on expensive proprietary headsets or be tethered to a PC to view useful and effective VR in the classroom.
Ask any student or teacher and their greatest frustration is a lack of consistent learning materials! VR Centre has changed that paradigm. Our media teams follow a building project from start to finish! All the collected media correlates. The plans and specifications match the actual building project imagery ensuring a consistent learning experience. Students can follow in a linear fashion the complete project from the first sod of soil turned to the final inspection. Students and teachers can refer to the actual documents being used throughout the project lifetime. This eliminates confusion and adds to the reality of the learning experience. When students observe plans in the builder’s hands, they can refer to the exact same plans in the same moment. VR Centre really does bring the building site into the classroom in every possible detail.
Virtual 360 tours are a game changer. Our media teams document our building sites throughout the different stages of the build in full HD 360 monoscopic imagery. Site tours immediately generate proactive discussion between students and teachers. Students and teachers can explore the building site and view in detail various aspects of the construction project. This generates vibrant and informative discussions between the whole class. Gone are the days of stick figures on a whiteboard; the details are there for all to see. VR tours change the dynamics of the classroom like no other tool. VR Centre supply a range of tours for each site and the images are available in the library allowing your development teams to build their own custom tours using the VR Centre platform. VR tours bring the building site into your classrooms every day.
VR Centre supplies you simulated fully immersive environments and tools that mirror the building site conditions in detail. Our VR engine allows students to hammer nails, drive in pegs, set string lines, use accurate measuring instruments such as a builder’s level, a plumb bob and carry out the normal functions as if on a real site without the associated logistical nightmares associated with live site visits. Accuracy is in 1/10’s of a millimetre. Its as real as you can get without being onsite.
Gold Membership allows your teachers & course developers unfettered access to the VRCentre copyright approved construction libraries as well as the ability to create teams and distribute silver membership access to your students based on your selected license packages.
This product allows your students access to the VR Centre © copyright safe Building & Construction libraries. This membership is allocated to students by their Gold member team leader, teacher or school administration staff from the purchased license pool.
The Silver membership Building & Construction libraries contain high-definition compressed media that students access either seamlessly in course content or alternatively they can browse the library to view any of the components or add their selected content to their own projects or assessments.
NOTE: Students cannot purchase Silver memberships directly. These memberships must be allocated directly to the student by a Gold member.
